Big Cats Ready to Pounce At NEC

8th - 9th November 2003

Autoglym website

The list of marques which will be represented at the final of the 2003 Autoglym Concours Championship at the National Exhibition Centre in November reads like a Who’s Who of the world’s most desirable classic cars.

Jaguar leads the way with eight finalists, followed by MG (five), Ferrari, Porsche and Triumph with two apiece, and a single representative from each of Aston Martin, Austin Healey, Bentley and Lotus. Volume manufacturers include Austin, Ford, Mini, Morris and Talbot.

"It’s a classic selection in every sense of the word," said organiser John Cole. "These cars are probably the finest of their marque found in Europe, and enthusiasts are in for a treat."

The overall winner will receive not only the coveted Autoglym champion’s salver, but also a cheque for £500, a specially-commissioned artist’s painting of the car, a year’s free insurance, and a tailor-made air-conditioned car cover worth £500.

Judging takes place at the International Classic Motor Show on Saturday and Sunday, November 8 and 9, with the results being announced at 12 noon on the Sunday.
