| You are not logged in Blackpalfrey Tour Of KentSunday 19th September 2004
Following on from the success of our first touring event in 2003, we’re pleased to offer you another enjoyable day out in the Kent countryside with your classic car. The Tour of Kent has no competitive element, and is intended as an opportunity for you to drive your Pre-1985 pride and joy through the picturesque lanes and villages of Kent. Younger interesting cars will be allowed, at the organisers’ discretion. Along the 120-mile route will be a number of passage control points to check that you’re following the correct route, but in accordance with the regulations for a Touring Assembly, there will be no timing element other than the opening and closing times of controls. Although the day has been designed for two people in each car, additional persons may be carried (for an additional fee, to cover coffee, lunch and dinner). You will be given an easy to follow road book to take you along our carefully designed route through pretty Kentish Villages and across the infamous Romney Marsh. There will be an interesting stop for morning coffee and an extended stop at the Port Lympne Zoo Park for lunch and a chance for a brief look around. We finish back at Ashford with a substantial and well-earned meal. Regulations and the Entry Form can be downloaded from the Blackpalfrey Motor Club of Kent website at www.blackpalfrey.co.uk.
