or the Majestic Major I drove and had on tv during the petrol shortage. You could get 4 star when all else was unavailable so I wheeled this, an Empress and my Peerless out and had the engineers of my IT company doing emergency calls in them! THE ROADS WERE DESERTED!!

How much work on your car(s) do you carry out yourself?

All bar topcoat spraying

What do you carry with you when out in your classic?

Mobile phone and worry beads

Do you get involved in the club scene and why?

Castle Combe and Prestcott for participation and Brands short circuit for viewing

What is your worst memory involving a classic?

My repeated ability to put Triumph Vitesses in rivers, ditches, Signs saying “Welcome to Aynesford please drive carefully…..the list was pretty long as a budding Graham Hill!!

What is your funniest memory involving a classic car?

Trying to impress a pretty girl in a Daimler Dart (flexi frame flyer) and the bonnet flying up and concussing her (like a true Gentleman I ducked)

What is your most enjoyable moment involving a classic car?

Gentlemanly concern for the feelings of the stunning (lady) concerned prevents a true answer to this.

If you won a competition to have the unlimited and unrestricted use of any classic car for a week, what would you choose and why?

Speed six Bentley , and do I really have to explain!!

How do you define a classic?

The Audi TT is a classic but not old, The 1958 General American car was rubbish then and is rubbish now (On British roads), but age dictates it is a classic.

What in your opinion is the worst car regarded as a classic and why?

The Ford Anglia as it was, and is, boring. Even a Morris 1000 had character and extremely interesting front suspension geometry if you failed to lubricate it.

What question would you like to ask and to whom?

I would like to ask Lord Stokes……..WHY!
