| You are not logged in Editor's welcome - October 2004Welcome to this, the October 2004 edition of Classic Car Times. This month it is the International Classic Motor Show 22nd – 24th October at the NEC, Birmingham. Due to family commitments I’m not sure whether I’ll be able to make it this year, but I did make it along last year and can thoroughly recommend it for a great day out. All I would suggest is that you try to get there early, as there is a lot to see. This show also features the Autoglym Concours Final (click here for more details). Last month I introduced a new feature on the site, 'Classic Cars Reunited'. Initial take up has been reassuring, but there must still be plenty of you out there who could add more vehicles. To learn more about this service read here. Finally I would like to sound you all out for a competition I've been toying with running. As with everything on the site, its success really depends upon your contributions, so please get in touch to let me know what you think. I inspiration for the competition comes from a photo of my brother sat in a car he once owned. I won’t share this photo with you yet and the specific details of the competition will require some refinement, but in essence it will be an embarrassing photo competition! What I am looking for is for people to submit embarrassing photos of themselves with their cars. We could then make it a simple vote for the most embarrassing photo or something a little more challenging like naming the cars or guessing the year of the photo (not the car) from the fashions! To be honest, the specifics of the competition are of secondary importance, what I am looking for now are the photos. So please take a look through your old albums and see if you have anything that you would be willing to enter into the competition, and drop me a line using the email address below. I’ll keep you all posted on the progress of this idea through this regular piece. As ever, I hope you enjoy the site,
